AECOM Construction Project Manager in New York, New York

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be based in our New York, NY office. The person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the execution of the Safety program by the CM, Contractor, and interface with NYCHA’s safety program personnel.

  • Oversee the execution of the project work performed by the construction manager, contractor, and subcontractors on site.

  • Oversee the coordination being performed by the AOR, Construction Manager, and Contractor for the separate Energy Performance Contract (EPC) and Energy Services Companies’ scope of work.

  • Monitor the staffing levels for the AOR, CM and Contractor, and ensure that the necessary resources are provided.

  • Ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly project progress reports are complete and accurate prior to distributing to NYCHA. Review, track and verify that the CM is preparing the monthly reports and submitting the correct information in a timely manner.

  • Review the CMs invoices/progress payments, including supporting documents and negotiate a fair % of work completed if necessary.

  • Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.

  • Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

  • Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Working with an established program management team overseeing extensive heating projects ($50-$80M) for a large NYC public housing agency.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NJ or NY Agency experience preferred

  • Additional Information: AECOM encourages, but does not require, its employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
