Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to be based in either Piscataway, NJ, Clifton, NJ or New York, NY.

This position is expected to begin in May/June 2021.

Successful candidate will perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision.

  • Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review.

  • Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence.

  • Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.

  • Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.

  • Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.

  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

  • Execute field work as needed to support remediation projects.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Additional Details:

  • Position may require travel

  • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Civil or related discipline)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 0-1 year of job-related experience or equivalent

  • Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
