AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer to support its Construction Management Teams working in the NYC Metropolitan area on public transit and commuter rail systems.
Mechanical Field Engineer candidates will review and provide responses to RFIs, review documents and submittals for conformance to the NYCT requirements with specific attention to elevators and escalators, coordinate, follow-up, provide input and during shop drawing/submittal review, construction, and testing, commissioning, final completion and closeout phases.
Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or AA/AS (US) + 10 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 10 YORE or HS/GED + 12 YORE
Public transit and commuter rail systems.
Candidate should have significant experience in the installation, inspection and commissioning of elevators and/or escalators preferably for MTA/NYCT with capability of handling large projects. Requires ten (10) years’ experience, five of which are directly related to elevators and/escalators. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is required. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Licensed P.E., R.A., or CCM preferred.
