AECOM NY Licensed Landscape Architect / Licensed Civil Engineer PE in New York, New York

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a NY Licensed Landscape Architect / Licensed Civil Engineer PE located in New York, NY. This position will have the opportunity to telecommute frequently. Responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.

  • Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.

  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.

  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.

  • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.

  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

  • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel

  • Be knowledgeable with NYC DOT Standard Specifications and Standard Details of Construction specific to pedestrian ramps, and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel, Bluebeam or Adobe Photoshop, and have experience in obtaining field measurements and preparing site plans.

  • Approving specs drafted by landscape architects and putting a stamp pf approval on submitted work.

  • Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dusts, and noise.

  • Position requires frequent standing/walking, operation of vehicles, work in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, working alone in isolated/remote areas, and performing keyboard/mouse operations. Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment, including safety shoes/boots, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, and high visibility vest

  • Excellent business writing, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work within deadlines

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience

  • Licensed Landscape Architect or Civil Engineer PE License

  • US Citizen

  • Must possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of Experience

  • NYC DOT Standard Specifications and Standard Details of Construction specific to pedestrian ramps, and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design.
