Job Description
The Senior Analyst/Analyst role will help advance the agenda of executive leadership by defining strategic direction and driving critical strategic initiatives for AECOM. This position will report to the Director and/or Vice President of Corporate Strategy. This position requires the acumen to address and define complex projects, balance multiple responsibilities, and influence key stakeholders.
This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include a combination of both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work and can be based from: Dallas, TX / Los Angeles, CA / Denver, CO / Chicago, IL / New York, NY.
Duties
Develop actionable insights and quality deliverables in support of key strategic Enterprise priorities; maintain flexibility and accountability in support of multiple initiatives
Conduct internal and external research and analysis to develop actionable recommendations
Perform competitive intelligence and market analysis to support strategic positioning and market entry decisions.
Work to establish the development of corporate, business unit and function strategic plans
Gather, clean, and analyze data using various methods and technology tools to extract insights and identify trends
Track and analyze key metrics to evaluate the success of strategies and make data-informed adjustments
Provide strategic input into mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures
Support facilitation of strategic workshops – support scoping of problem statements, developing agenda, and facilitating collaborative sessions to work through business decisions with executive leaders
Support project management/coordination of critical strategic initiatives and workstreams
Establish excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Executive leadership team
Understand the structure of the organization to interact with internal partners
Manage relationships with external consultants and resources
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
For Analyst:
- Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or similar plus at least 2 years of work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
For Sr. Analyst:
- Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or similar plus at least 4 years of work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
As well as:
This position may require some travel, up to 20%
Experience in research and corporate development, analysis, strategic planning, and/or financial analysis, or similar functions
Ability to develop impactful presentations and materials to communicate complex topics and decisions clearly and concisely
Highly comfortable navigating and learning with MS Office and corporate financial reporting systems
Experience and comfort level with financial analysis and data visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel/PowerPoint visualization, etc.); ability and interest in learning new analytical tools and research/data platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree from a top tier program and/or MBA is a plus
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills
Prior operational experience in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industry is a plus
Prior management consulting, strategy & growth, private equity, financial planning or investment banking experience is preferred
A passion and interest in service leadership and the ability to act as a thought partner for leaders in the company to help define and work through solutions to problems
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external partners at various levels
Proven ability to think out of the box and challenge the status quo
Passion for business and desire to develop into a strong business leader

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $105,000.00.
