Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Transportation Planner for employment in New York, NY office. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Support senior planners and/or project managers in producing documents, reports, graphics, CAD, and materials for community outreach

  • Compile data and conducts research in support of project delivery

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Transportation Policy Analysis, Transportation & Transit Planning Studies, traffic analysis and policy support tasks

  • Assist with field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps, GIS and data presentations

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning or other related field

  • Must have working knowledge and understanding of industry related analyses and development concepts as they pertain to land use, traffic, transportation and urban planning/policy and safety

  • NYC based planning experience in transportation, safety or land use

  • Must be able to develop documents in MS Office

  • Position requires effective time-management, written communications skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate will be articulate with professional presence, with solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CADD

  • Demonstrated experience with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and CAD

  • ArchGIS
