AECOM US East Technology Market Leader in New York, New York

Company Description

AECOM is seeking a highly experienced US East Technology Market Leader. This role directly supports the growth-focused Technology and Emerging/Disruptive Technologies practice covering the East Coast in collaboration with the global technology practice. This is a high-visibility role that provides selected candidates with an opportunity to influence AECOM’s internal strategy through sales and business development leadership while building long-term relationships with key client accounts. This position will be the US East Technology Market Leader on AECOM’s newest contracts with a clear objective to win new work under existing contracts and support the capture of new contracts. This position is a senior leader within the Buildings + Places business line. This position will have significant influence in shaping and executing strategy in the region. This position will be based out of one of AECOM’s offices in our East Region.

Job Description

US East Technology Market Leader will drive sustainable and reproducible US Technology and Emerging/Disruptive Technologies client accounts’ growth for AECOM in the East region by successfully delivering on the following:

Strategic Direction, Intelligence, and Positioning

  • Strategic Plan Development & Management for the Technology and Emerging/Disruptive Technologies client base in the East region

  • Identify external drivers influencing the marketplace.

  • Competitor and Business analyses.

  • Coordination and collaboration with the B+P Client Account Managers

Account Plan Development

  • Develop opportunity targets based on market conditions and client acquisition strategies; develop goals with Business Line Leaders

  • Monitor and support Sales opportunities, lead major capture efforts.

  • Continually seek to improve/grow the overall Portfolio Quality and optimize across the region.

Account Performance

  • On a monthly basis or more frequently as requested, maintaining situational awareness of performance across the client accounts.

  • Make sure bookings and pipeline align with monthly projections and if not, develop a brief situational report on why projections are not in alignment.

Pursuit Support & Sales Force Management

  • Weekly review and update of the Sales Force pipeline. Make sure that there are capture plans for all major pursuits. Lead/assist with teaming and negotiating.

  • Ensure coordination with B+P Business Services & Marketing for max support.

  • Facilitate Risk Management / pricing/ proposal review/ and all other unique federal requirements.

Contract Performance

  • Proactively Manage ongoing contract performance to meet financial objectives

  • Oversee execution of all task orders on existing contracts with an objective of maintaining profitability and superior client satisfaction (CPARS)

Client Relationships

  • Lead/manage key relationships with all major clients in the region. Interface with B+P Client Account Managers. Leverage their support to maximize effectiveness and growth of your program.

  • Optimize cross-selling opportunities.

  • On challenging projects, closely oversee actions and personally monitor and required corrective actions to fully recover and ensure client satisfaction.

Communicate / Coordinate

  • Maintain an Account level Focus Group communication strategy to provide YTD status against goals & other relevant account metrics.

  • Identify and help resolve internal issues/barriers to growth

Lead and Motivate

  • Promote the AECOM brand; inspire participation in professional activities & paper development.

  • Be a prime mover in building the B+P Technology and Emerging/Disruptive Technologies team

Responsible for client relations, market analysis, strategy development, positioning, capture and program management. This includes developing and executing strategic and client account plans that will achieve annual targets and grow the program year over year. The role is the advocate for the regional client accounts that provide a host of professional technical services.

The US East Technology Market Leader must be a strong leader, able to inspire, motivate and build teams, and communicate effectively. This role will collaborate with AECOM members across Business Lines and Operating geographies to drive growth for their assigned accounts in the region.

AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership

  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding business growth goals and/or business development metrics.

  • Valid Driver’s License required

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or other related discipline preferred.

  • Demonstrated team building successes

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization

Offered rate of compensation (New York City location only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $176,500 - $326,600.
