Job Description
AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a dynamic, talented Water/Wastewater Project Manager for immediate employment to be based out of our New York City office. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career on water and wastewater projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful group that offers a diverse range of technical challenges and career development opportunities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Manages water and wastewater projects from planning through design and construction.
Responsibility of the project including but not limited to financial performance, schedule, staffing, execution, and contract closeout.
Provides guidance to and mentors subordinate staff, enforces company and project policies.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering + 6 years of related experience
Current PE License in the State of NY or ability to obtain one within 9 months of start of employment.
Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems and client/consultant relations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of related experience in water/wastewater/water resources consulting and engineering management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Participation in water community activities including Water Environment Federation and American Water Works Association
Proven ability of leading business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects, and managing project deliveries
Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams

Offered rate of compensation (New York City locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $143,847 -170,560.
