Job Description
AECOM's Digital Planning and Technology group is seeking a CAD Specialist in Newark, DE. The CAD Specialist will work closely with the BIM Manager as well as other CAD technicians to manage technical and survey-related tasks for project delivery. Projects will vary and may include transportation/DOT projects, building facilities and government related work. Hybrid work schedule with a few days per week expected in the Newark, DE office.
Job Summary:
Works under limited supervision performing advanced technical and survey-related work utilizing a wide variety of resources, software, and workflows.
Work closely with BIM Manager and other CAD technicians to manage technical survey tasks for project delivery.
Utilize CAD / BIM software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, REVIT, and/or OpenRoads to convert or extract survey data from point clouds and LIDAR.
Preparation of technical survey design files in accordance with client procedures and standards.
Responsible for developing and maintaining survey related standards for multiple clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience utilizing AutoCAD, Civil3D and OpenRoads software with an emphasis on survey data
Due to nature of work involved, US Citizenship is required for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with REVIT software
Field surveying experience
