Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Scientist I to be based in our Charlotte, NC office.
This position is expected to begin May/June 2022.

Job Overview
This position will support our Remediation group within the Environment business line, and will be part of our asbestos/lead/mold program which includes inspection, design/plan, and abatement oversight.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following which will be performed within a geographic territory:
Preparing reports and other technical documents.
Compiling, evaluating, and analyzing environmental data
Conducting asbestos surveys
Conducting lead paint inspections
Conducting mold / indoor air quality surveys
Conducting universal and general hazard inventories surveys
Ability to travel (up 75% of the time)
Due to the nature of the industry, there are times when weekend and evening work will be required, potentially on short notice
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Ability/willingness to travel to job sites as needed
Valid US Driver’s License required
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
DOT and RCRA Training
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe
Experience working in SharePoint platform
Aerial Lift Experience
Asbestos Certification
Knowledge of environmental sampling practices
Ability to record data neatly, accurately, and legibly
Excellent attention to Health and Safety
Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Additional comments:
This position will require travel to multiple client sites (up to 75% of the time)
Due to the nature of the industry, there are times when weekend and evening work will be required, potentially on short notice
This is a fast-paced position, and the candidate must be flexible with schedules and able to adapt quickly
