AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer I to be based in North Charleston, SC.
This position is expected to begin in August 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of anexperienced engineer.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Performs field investigation and observation of construction projects.
Determines permitting requirements and prepares submittal packages to govern agencies.
Expected work type projects may include, design of water transmission lines and pumping facilities, the design of wastewater collection and transmission facilities, and planning studies for future project designs.
Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license.
Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)
The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Positive attitude and strong initiative to learn and excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
