Position Title Logistics Technician Specialist – Dept of State GSE&SC Contract

This is a contingency posting depending upon successful award of the Department of State Global Security Engineering &Supply Chain contract.
Purpose and Scope:
Provide a variety of logistics tasks such as supply support, configuration management, and data management in support of components, equipment, and/or systems.
Review drawings. Research databases to determine technical documentation requirements; reliability, maintainability, and availability; life cycle impacts; source issues; and configuration impacts.
Perform inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property control in support of various supply activities and/or equipment installations. May assist technicians with equipment installations.
Maintain reviews and comments on logistics support plans, policies, procedures and similar data. Recommend improvements to enhance the process.
Identifies specific procedures or processes that could be modified in order to increase efficiencies or quality.
Demonstrates development and application of new systems, processes, or techniques that contribute to the achievement of business area goals
Applies knowledge of procedures and systems to a broad range of basic issues and applies knowledge of specialized processes or technical skills to complex issues.
Perform other related or associated duties as required.
Vocational/technical training beyond high school or equivalent experience and ten years of job-related experience.
Good communication skills; requires operating application software including Microsoft Office.
Position may require travel.
Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
