Job Summary

This is a contingency posting depending upon successful award of the Department of State Global Security Engineering &Supply Chain contract.

Purpose and Scope:

The Project Analyst is responsible for demonstrating technical ability in either Planning/Scheduling or Cost Analysis and providing expert knowledge in the chosen area of expertise in support of projects or Company initiatives. This position requires demonstrated analytical ability to address complex project or proposal issues and make effective recommendations for process improvement. Project controls provides the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Services include planning, cost and schedule (work breakdown structure) metrics and tools, collecting performance data (installed quantities, expended labor hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract work), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analyzing (earned value, productivity and risk analysis), and reporting.

  • Identifies and tracks all changes or potential changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with the customer and project management.

  • Integrates cost and schedule data and reporting with the company's accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company performance and financial goals.

  • May also be involved in change control management, document control management, and critical path method network analysis.

  • Identifies and analyzes cost and schedule variances and recommends associated corrective actions. Presents project schedule status to the Project Manager and customer.

  • Assists in the development of work breakdown structures (WBS) and helps to insure that project coding are effectively used for all cornerstone applications.

  • Assists the project team in the preparation of annual rescheduling and/or bottoms up cost estimates.

  • Evaluates manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.

  • Perform other related or associated duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 12 years of related experience.

  • Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
