Position Title Quality Assurance Manager – Dept of State GSE&SC Contract

This is a contingency posting depending upon successful award of the Department of State Global Security Engineering &Supply Chain contract.
Purpose and Scope:
Manages, plans, coordinates, and heads the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards. Oversees the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy.
Manages a group of quality employees in a group office or working on a portion of a project.
Plans, conducts and directs research and/or development work on complex quality projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches.
Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the product is designed, procured, and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures, and any related quality activity.
Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Reviews project process and evaluate results.
Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
Acts as liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items.
Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.
Participates in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs.
Approves corrective action to quality problems.
Perform other related or associated duties as required.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and 12 years of experience are required.
Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position requires familiarity with and ability to stay current in general industry standards (29CRF 1910 and 1926), NFPA 101, ANSI Standards and NASA Standards.
Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
