AECOM is looking for a motivated, hands-on Environmental Project Manager to join our Environmental Remediation team in Oakland, California . Working under the direction of program and department managers, the successful candidate will work on environmental restoration programs throughout Northern California.
This is a great opportunity to work with AECOM's technical experts and industry-leading clients to implement the latest investigation and remediation technologies as well as more sustainable approaches.
Manage multiple projects within client’s scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
Provide team leadership and oversight of consultants and subcontractors for site investigation and remediation projects with complex technical/regulatory issues, to ensure their work aligns with our client’s goals and expectations.
Manage environmental permits and maintain regulatory compliance for multiple sites.
Build strong collaborative relationships with AECOM employees, clients, and subcontractors.

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience geology or engineering, or related discipline or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
Ability to travel 20%.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Masters Degree in geology or engineering, or related discipline.
7 years of experience, with progressive responsibilities including project management experience for site investigation/remediation projects under a variety of local, state, and federal regulatory structures (e.g., DTSC and the Water Board)
Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
Environmental field work experience and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional engineer or geologist certification in California, preferred.
Local candidates preferred.
