AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer in the Oakland office. Responsibilities include mechanical HVAC and Plumbing design; including drainage, water, ductwork, gas, among others.
Responsible for the preparation and review of mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and narratives for multiple design projects.
Responsible for active participation and engagement in design.
Liaison and coordination with all applicable colleagues, contractors, owners, developers, vendors, etc. associated with the assigned projects.
Review of other’s work produced by the mechanical engineers and the necessary coordination with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of experience
Professional Engineer (PE)
Strong mechanical mechanical engineering experience related to HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection.
Ability to manage budgets.
Software knowledge in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroSoft Office.
Should be proficient in equipment selection and the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and control systems
Possesses extensive, progressive technical experience in engineering and requisite skills in multiple areas.
Independently applies advanced engineering and analyses for problems and methods.
