The job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Civil Inspector will be responsible for inspection and monitoring of contractor performing civil related construction operations. Inspector will properly document work as it is being performed and work under the supervision of the resident engineer.
Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
Provides on the job training to new employees.
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
- HS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience on major projects in Southern California
Experience with multiple areas of inspection (see list of important areas below, don’t need all, but multiple would be best)
Civil (storm drain, roadway, sewer/utility, earthwork)
Experience with Highway/Bridge projects and/or railroad projects
