Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Design Manager for a work site in Riverside, CA.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.
The incumbent of this position will:
Manage, develop, and coordinate the District's design process to ensure that plans are within functional program, budgetary, environmental and legal requirements.
Have California educational experience / Division of State Architect (DSA)
Oversee the building design process to ensure compliance with RCCD's standards and guidelines for the District by working with design professionals and various district administrators to ensure new and modernized structures meet both educational and building standards requirements.
Provide Architects with clear and consistent direct with regard to goals and objectives, standards, site, schedule, and budget for each project.
Review design changes to ensure project remains in budget.
Monitor project planning and design status to report findings, recommendations, and updates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree and minimum eight years of experience managing the facilities design, or planning and coordination of capital projects that include the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities, or demonstrated equivalency of related education and/or experience.
Preferred requirements:
Four years of this experience must be with the design, planning and construction of educational facilities or similar public agencies.
California educational experience / Division of State Architect (DSA)
Additional Information
Sponsorship for work authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $145,000.00 - $175,000.00.
