About Buildings + Places:

Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism and planning (landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our Orange studio focuses on the Commercial/Corporate, Science and Technology, Higher Education, and Federal market sectors. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.

AECOM is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to be based in Orange, CA.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Works independently with minimal supervision.

  • Designing and programming of databases.

  • Design and programming is needed for each project and can also be task specific.

  • Hands-on experience with ESRI toolsets including: ArcServer, ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Pro.

  • Uses more advanced levels within the ArcGIS software platforms such as Batch Reviewer and Model Builder.

  • May direct the work of Level I and II GIS Specialists. Responsibilities could include overall project or task management.

  • Independently executes and delivers GIS projects of moderate to significant scope and complexity.

  • Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others.

  • Extensive experience in geospatial data collection, spatial analysis, GIS data conversion and maintenance, and cartography.

  • Proficiency in database programming languages such as SQL and Python, enabling effective management and analysis of spatial data.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree plus 4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • US Citizenship is required for this position

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience with ArcGIS Software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop.

  • Experience with geoprocessing tasks using Esri Model Builder and Batch Reviewer.

  • Geospatial data collection, spatial analysis, GIS data conversion and maintenance, and cartography

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00.
