Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern III in Austin, TX.

This position is expected to begin in June 2022

What you will learn and do:

  • Learn the proposal lifecycle by participating in key proposal planning, kickoff, status and lessons learned meetings.

  • Learn how to conduct market research in the government market, by learning and using sources including SAM.gov and GovWin.

  • Provide proposal production support as needed for final electronic or print deliverables, using MS Word and/or Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Develop proposal writing and editing skills, by editing and formatting key proposal content to highlight how our people or capabilities meet the client needs. Content will include proposal sections such as resumes, experience, and past performance, using branded templates or guidance.

  • Learn about and support proposal operations, by providing reporting or schedules management as directed.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop commercial graphic design skills, by contributing to and/or creating high-impact graphics and marketing materials in print, interactive, and digital formats. Deliverables may include proposals, presentations, brochures, interactive PDFs/ ePubs, photography, videos, social media content, advertisements, webpages, and industry award submittals.

  • Learn about the business development and proposal lifecycle by participating in key proposal planning, kickoff, status and lessons learned meetings.

  • Learn how to apply corporate branding guidelines, government regulations, and intellectual property laws to the design of documents for commercial purposes.

  • Contribute to marketing team libraries for infographics, photography, collateral, templates, etc.

  • Provide proposal production support as needed for final electronic or print deliverables, using MS Word and/or Adobe Creative Suite.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in graphic design, digital arts, communications, marketing, or a related discipline.

  • Must have complete 3 years of applicable program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to perform tasks as assigned in accordance with non-negotiable customer deadlines.

  • Proven organizational skills, including an ability to multi-task and to prioritize various tasks to meet schedules.

  • Demonstrated attention to consistency and detail.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Experience using MS Teams, SharePoint, and Salesforce will be helpful.

  • Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
