Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Trackwork Construction Inspector for immediate employment in Orange, CA.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide authoritative direction for inspections on engagements, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards and contract specifications.
Serve as a key member of AECOM's senior leadership team, representing the organization as an external spokesperson on technical project issues.
Conduct rigorous site visits and meticulously inspect each stage of construction, interpreting complex plans and codes with precision.
Maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports, including detailed logs and materials reports, and prepare interim progress reports to support contractor payments.
Issue formal Non-Conformance Reports for corrective action when necessary and monitor contractor quality testing activities.
Coordinate and oversee technical inspections across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment while strictly adhering to the project's safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma + 10 Years of Relevant Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid Driver License required.
10 years of experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of responsibility on complex projects as a General Contractor, Building Construction Supervisor or construction inspector on heavy construction projects, transportation, or transit construction projects for the disciplines within the work including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Inspector license, comparable Deputy Inspection License for a county for city agency, NICET certification, or other alternative certification form an acceptable nationally recognized organization or regional agency is highly desirable where applicable to inspection of the trade or discipline related to rail transit trackwork construction.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on underground transit trackwork facilities.
Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30 training certification.
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $52.25/hour -$97.75/hour.
