Job Summary

AECOM/CFX is seeking a Receptionist/HR Assistant to be based at the Administrative Office in Orlando, Florida.

The Receptionist has a through knowledge of office practices and procedures. Works under close supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and applies basic skills and procedures. Performs a variety of semi-routine duties. The Receptionist/HR Assistant reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Generalist.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • Answer Toll Operations line, and assist customers as needed and ensure phone calls are redirected accordingly.

  • Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.

  • Distribute incoming mail and FedEx packages. Ensure that outgoing mail and FedEx are properly addressed, posted and sent.

  • Complete clerical tasks associated with the operations, and in support of the AECOM management team.

  • Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels

  • Supports Corporate Recruiter and Senior Human Resource Generalist in recruiting process and procedures, performance evaluations, benefits, and employee relations issues, etc.

  • Primary backup for Administrative Specialist for customer service issues and training.

  • Provides Customer Services Support By:

  • Maintains a neat appearance of front area at all times including the guest chairs and table

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the Company, project, or contract.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or graduate equivalency (GED).

Experience:

  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel) and basic computer experience

  • Excellent phone etiquette

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must posses strong organizational skills

  • Able to work collectively with the administrative team associates

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals and personalities

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of office and/or receptionist experience

  • One or more years of experience Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel)

  • Some college education and one (1) or more years Human Resources Management experience

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Ability to type 40 words per minute or more
