AECOM Roadway Design Engineer in Orlando, Florida

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented civil engineer specializing in roadway design for our Orlando, Florida office. This roadway design engineer will be involved in assisting senior design engineers with design, analysis, and production of complex interstate highway design projects. Plus have the opportunity to augment the client’s department to meet their design and production goals. The candidate will have sufficient project experience designing transportation capacity and rehabilitation improvements. The AECOM Transportation Orland office enjoys an excellent reputation for designing large heavy civil interstate highways.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Geometric Design and Analysis

  • Plans Production

  • Plans review

  • Development of engineering calculation

  • Development of Technical Reports and Memoranda

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer

  • 2+ years of related experience

  • Technical Skills – Roadway designer with production skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Proficient with CADD – Microstation, Geopak and/or Inroads​

  • ​Team-Oriented individual – must be able to work with a large diverse group of engineers and designers​

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in CADD

  • Knowledge of FDOT roadway criteria and CAD design/production

  • Familiar with FDOT procedures and policies

  • Proficient in Excel and other MS office platforms

  • Familiar with construction review process

  • Certificates – PE is a plus
