AECOM Survey Technician in Orlando, Florida

Job Summary

  • Processes survey data collected in the field to create survey drawings, DTM, sketches, descriptions and other written records on daily basis.

  • Ability to read and understand survey field notes, sketches, maps, plats, deeds, as-builts, construction plans and other drawings and records.

  • Routinely performs coordinate geometry calculations such as intersections, curves, inverses, area calculations, etc.

  • Performs QA/QC of the field data to verify it complies with the project requirements.

  • Transmits and keeps survey data and records.

  • Works under direction of Licensed Surveyor or Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient in current version of MicroStation/Geopak or InRoads.

  • Recent experience in transportation survey/design projects.

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Good reading, writing and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong belief in safety practices.

  • High School Degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • FDOT experience.

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Experience with Bentley SUE Module.

  • Experience with 3D Modeling.

  • Survey Field Experience.

  • Ability to quickly understand new technologies and learn new software.
