Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a motivated, team-oriented Civil Engineer II to join our Environment Business Line for immediate employment in the Oshkosh or Green Bay, Wisconsin office, working on rewarding projects within a diverse culture, and having access to exceptional training and career development opportunities.

You will work with a diverse team of technical experts to deliver services to our clients. In this role, you will support the design of various solid waste disposal facilities, earthen and concrete dams, stormwater management, and other civil, geotechnical, and remediation projects.

The successful candidate will have a background in civil engineering. Relocation to the Oshkosh or Green Bay, Wisconsin area is required for this role, as it is not a remote position.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and development of construction plans and specifications.

  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers, scientists, and technicians.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and minimum 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on site development, solid waste management, or other large civil projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • US Citizen/US Permanent Resident.

  • Candidate will need to pass a Background and MVR check

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on site development, solid waste management, or other large civil projects.

  • 3+ year of experience preparing reports, conducting engineering analyses and calculations, overseeing the preparation of engineering design documents such as drawings and technical specifications.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models, and stormwater management design software such as HydroCAD.

  • Experience civil engineering-related projects including stormwater, grading, roadway, and pipe networks.

  • Demonstrated experience using HydroCAD.

  • Experience in site development and erosion control and stormwater design.

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred, working towards Professional Engineer Licensure.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong organizational, technical, communications and written skills.

  • Commitment to working efficiently to complete tasks within allotted schedule constraints.

  • Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors.

  • Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects.

  • Willingness to travel, complete field work, and work extended hours, when necessary.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00.
