Job Description

AECOM has an opportunity available for an experienced Transportation Project Manager V to join our Panama team.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.

  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.

  • Builds strong relationships and interacts regularly with existing and new clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders

  • Continue and strengthen client relationships within the Transportation Industry.

  • Identifies, pursues, and wins Transportation and infrastructure projects.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with other leaders within AECOM.

  • Serves as lead engineer, approves, and signs off on work on local and regional.

  • Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.

  • Performs technical reviews of work developed by others.

  • Continuously interacts with clients assuring satisfaction with AECOM services and interacting with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner.

  • Drives project performance and is responsible for the performance of a portfolio of projects

  • Collaborates with peers/leaders in AECOM to leverage technical expertise, ensure client satisfaction and implement best practices.

  • Participates in development of technical proposals.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • 8+ years of experience delivering transportation projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years of experience delivering transportation projects

  • 5+ years of experience as a project and client manager

  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary transportation projects

  • Client relationships, business development, and pursuit capture experience

  • Experience managing a team or group

  • Roadway, traffic, drainage, ports, railways, or structures design background

  • Must be able to thrive in a team environment

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to track and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules

  • English/Spanish Fluency
