Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly talented Construction Assessor for immediate employment to work fully remote.
The Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is responsible for bringing Amtrak stations into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADASP implements design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak’s intercity rail transportation system. This position will be part of a Joint Venture (AECOM & Jacobs) that is providing staff and services to Amtrak.
Lead assessment teams to Amtrak stations nationwide to assess, measure and document site conditions pre and post construction. Work with the program assessment manager to implement an effort that is critical to the program’s success.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Perform ADA site assessments at Amtrak Stations nationwide.
Prepare field sketches, photos, and field measurement documents.
Prepare detailed assessment reports documenting ADA non-compliance and construction deficiencies.
Prepare punch lists and work with construction team to seek resolution.
Plan and coordinate staff, travel, and execution of field assessments.
Interpret & apply International Building Code, ANSI A117.1 and ADA Guidelines DOTAS 2006
Maintain schedules and report status of ADA Assessments
Support a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management
4 years of technical experience.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Past experience in renovation, transportation, and construction.

3-5 days of out-of-town travel is anticipated every 4-6 weeks.
