Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level 3D/BIM Specialist for employment in its established Rail Engineering Department in the Philadelphia office. The Philadelphia track team engages and works side by side with career rail professionals throughout the US to deliver projects for both transit and freight clients.
This position offers opportunity to contribute to heavy rail, light rail transit, commuter rail, intercity passenger rail, and freight rail projects of all sizes from planning through final design and construction. The team utilizes the latest software to deliver fast-paced, multi-discipline designs to meet the unique needs of a diverse pool of clients.

This is preferably a hybrid office position yet could be considered for a fully remote position for United States-based candidates who do not live near an AECOM office.
Responsibilities:
Works under limited supervision
Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Act as a support resource for core design technologies
Can be a resource and team member in all phases of the project
Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques
Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies
Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization for engineering designs
Support projects and group initiatives in an efficient manner
Support efforts in development, testing, and implementation of design tools and services
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
4 years of progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling, with a focus on Autodesk Software Suite & Services and Bentley Software and Services
OR equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in civil modeling programs and/or applicable techniques
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Ability to effectively meet deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to coordinate with Engineers to deliver projects &/or manage plan production for a large project
Ability to coordinate with Engineers to improve modeling workflow
