AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a dynamic, talented Project Director for immediate employment to be based out of our Newark, DE or Philadelphia, PA offices. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project director on federal, regional, state, and municipal water, wastewater and water resources projects; preferably within eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and/or northern Delaware. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Directs and managers the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental or Chemical Engineering plus 10 years of relevant experience and demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Registered Professional Engineer
Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems and client/consultant relations experience
15+ years of related experience in water/wastewater/water resources consulting and engineering management
Registered Professional Engineer licensed in Pennsylvania, Delaware or New Jersey
Proven ability of leading business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects, and managing project deliveries
Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Participation in water community activities including Water Environment Federation and American Water Works Association
