Job Description

AECOM has a position available for a Senior Construction Manager to join our Transportation Construction Business Line supporting large multi-year projects as part of the Transportation construction management team. The projects include Rail and Transit infrastructure improvements throughout the Philadelphia Metro Region. The responsibilities for the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Complete accountability and direction for entire project, from pre-construction phase to completion and is the primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

  • Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.

  • Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, design compliance, through contract closeout.

  • Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.

  • PMC Management of projects that have varied project delivery methods including progressive design build, design build, conventional design, bid, build, etc.

  • Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in a large, complex project or several moderately sized projects with greater risk and complexity, and significant financial impact.

  • Resolves complex issues.

  • Manages projects on a local to national basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.

  • Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project(s).

  • Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project delivery.

  • Project teams may include 10 or more members often representing multiple business lines, working in remote locations.

  • Join the Leadership team to develop and capture growth strategies and increase market share for key accounts

  • Travel of 10 - 20%

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related degree + 8 years of related construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Management / leadership experience within the construction sector

  • Demonstrated experience in Facilities

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

  • Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

  • Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of management/leadership experience

  • Metro Agency Experience

  • Amtrak & SEPTA project experience

  • 10+ years of related experience

Relocation is not available for this role.

Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $145,000.00 - $185,000.00.
