AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with 2+ years of experience that has a working knowledge of aviation project design and development experience on both airside and landside aviation projects. The position could be located in Orange, CA, Phoenix, AZ, or Denver, CO and entails working on a variety of aviation projects throughout the western United States.

Responsible for performing a wide array of aviation-related civil design, planning, documentation, and construction
support services for General Aviation, Cargo, and Commercial Service Airport clients.
Duties and responsibilities of this role will include:
Responsible for civil airfield design production coordinating with experienced aviation design staff.
Construction monitoring and quality control reviews for new and ongoing projects.
Monitor daily project engineering assignments and activities
Regular contact with clients, contractors, and sub-consultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects
This position will provide upward mobility and increasing levels of responsibilities for the right candidate as experience is gained.
The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong technical skills, and the ability to confidently execute and coordinate technical matters related to the FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and other directives.
Leading design efforts on specifically assigned tasks and design activities.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The midpoint of the salary range is $97,153.12.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Engineering in Training (EIT) certification
Knowledge and hands-on understanding of FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, other FAA/Local/Client specifications, project development process, and the various project phases including the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Airport designer with 3D ACAD experience developing airport improvement projects.
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Excellent verbal and writing skills (ability to write clea rand concise emails, letters, reports, proposals, and meeting notes) are essential.
AutoCAD and Civil-3D capability are highly regarded.
Working knowledge and ability to prepare project specifications in FAA format is preferred.
