Job Description
AECOM is seeking to hire an Environmental Planner II to support our exciting Rail/Transit project in Phoenix, AZ.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting research, data reviews, and analysis to determine potential environmental effects.
Preparing text, maps, and graphics for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents and transportation planning studies.
Interprets and compares findings of relevant studies for compliance with local, state, and Federal requirements, standard procedures, and client expectations.
Collects a variety of technical and statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, and the natural environment.
Utilizes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze data and prepare detailed maps for use in reports.
Supports planning studies and reports.
Supports agency stakeholder and public engagement efforts.
Assists with other duties assigned by senior staff and/or Project Managers.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in Environmental Sciences, Planning, Geography, or related fields + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience
Masters preferred in Urban Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Economics, or related fields
Strong technical writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Online
Basic knowledge of NEPA and transportation planning topics
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation for Phoeniz, AZ will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The salary range for this position is $48915.12- $85601.45.
