Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Controls Specialist for immediate employment for the Phoenix, AZ office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set-up Projects and assist with managing Project data in ePM (AECOM Project Management Application)

  • Work with Project Managers (PMs), Finance Staff, and clients to ensure timely billing and collections

  • Create project status updates, and summary sheets for PMs

  • Ensure project reporting deadlines are met for internal and external clients

  • Respond to project financial action items to business line management

  • Facilitate set­up subcontractors in the AECOM system

  • As needed, interact with clients and subcontractors to acquire information necessary to support current projects

  • Assess Project financial status and take a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges by working with PM and Operations Management staff

  • Participate in monthly Project Reviews

  • Assist PMs with quarterly formal estimates to complete their projects (EAC/ETC)

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's Degreeor demonstrated equivalent combination of education, certification, training, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.

  • 3+ years' experience

  • Works cooperatively with others with the use of strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and good verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Understanding of general accounting practices

  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills are essential to this role where you support various PMs

  • Experience in managing complex project budgets

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal education in accounting and/or finance are a plus
