Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources/Civil Engineer o be located in Tucson, AZ. Any relevant experience in culvert sizing, floodplain mapping, hydrology or hydrologic or hydraulic analysis for bridges, dams and ponds and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, AutoCAD Civil3D or ArcGIS is preferred

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Guides entry-level engineers.

  • Performs work following agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the primary design

  • elements for engineering works.

  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 2 years of employment.

  • Ability to travel

  • Experience and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, AutoCAD Civil3D or ArcGIS

Additional Information

  • Relocation may be available for this role.

  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Occasional site travel may be required (less than 25%)

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $73,000.00 - $125,000.00.
