Job Summary

There is an immediate employment opportunity to join AECOM Program, Cost, Consultancy in the Project Controls team. Working with key clients on a portfolio of construction projects across the US, the team are seeking a highly talented Project Controls professional that will excel as part of a Client facing team. Based in New Brunswick, NJ, leading the Project Controls service on a range of construction projects with an existing pharmaceuticals client. The successful candidate will be working directly with the Client, Architect and Construction Management teams and spend the majority of time on client sites.

Key functions include:

  • Maintain cost control procedures, preparing project cost reports, budgets and cashflow forecasts.

  • Analyze and negotiate change order requests and invoices.

  • Review and agree contractor/vendor applications for payment.

  • Review and agree final accounts and project close-out.

  • Coordinate with project management, design teams and contractors.

  • Provide construction phase cost planning and value engineering

  • Provide strategic advice to clients on project delivery

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in related field of study

  • 15+ years of experience required

  • Construction Project Management, Project Controls or Cost Management related or demonstrable relevant equivalent experience

  • Some Project Controls experience with a focus on Construction Cost Management

  • Knowledge/experience preparing budgets, cash flow analyses and other financial reports

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Ability to think strategically, plan and problem solve

  • Capacity to work in a team setting with minimal supervision or direction

  • Ability to write complex business documents, such as reports, papers, detailed letters and emails

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Knowledge/experience of principles of contract administration

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 desirable but not essential

  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential
