Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Project Manager/Business Development Leader with a focus on NJ clients including NJDOT and NJ Counties.

In this role, you will be asked to manage a portfolio of projects and act as the Client Account Manager with responsibility to grow AECOM’s market share for that client.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Client Account Manager for major clients in NJ

  • Join the Leadership team to develop and capture growth strategies and increase market share for key accounts

  • Specialize in Transportation, with strong knowledge of sustainability planning, resiliency, and renewable energy

  • Manage marketing and proposal preparation

  • Manage team of professionals and contract deliverables with minimal guidance or supervision

  • Interface with clients at meetings to discuss and coordinate the project progress

  • Establish scope, work plan and work schedule

  • Manage and lead the overall project including technical, financial, schedule, and client satisfaction

  • Assure conformance with contractual obligations by ensuring that contract documents are reviewed and approved prior to release to the client

  • Train, mentor and develop staff

  • Anticipate potential budget and schedule impacts and initiates plans for alternative actions

  • Incorporate Innovation in design and delivery

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 5 years of leadership

  • Recent relevant experience with NJDOT and counties

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience

  • Specialize in Transportation, with strong knowledge of sustainability planning, resiliency, and renewable energy

  • Client Account Manager experience

  • Willing to support other business lines: Environment, Energy, Architecture, Water

  • Affiliated with professional organizations

  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $220,000.00.
