Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to work in our NY Metro Office. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages complex port, marine terminal and intermodal planning studies, feasibility studies, grant applications and reviews.
Reviews and processes complex comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning considerations, annexations and site plans.
Conducts research and prepares statistical reports on land use, physical, social and economic issues.
Provides professional planning assistance to Port Authorities, Terminal Operators and affected communities and regulatory bodies on varied land use and port / marine terminal projects.
Incorporates port development plans, studies and analyses within the regional transportation network.
Works in regional program areas relating to natural/water resources planning, community development, coastal zone management, and others.
Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the planning and development review process and/or to verify that planning development projects comply with approved plans.
Conducts meetings and presents reports and other findings to staff with advisory boards, elected officials, terminal operators and Port Authorities.
Qualifications
Minimum
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred:
Experience with complex port, marine terminal and intermodal planning studies
Transportation related experience
NY Metro agency expereince

Offered rate of compensation (NY locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000.
