AECOM is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our expanding water engineering practice. The selected candidate will become part of an established water engineering practice working on prominent water provider capital improvement project planning, design, study and rehabilitation; including water treatment, water transmission and storage, and pump station projects in the Pittsburgh region as well as significant projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Candidate will manage, plan and lead engineering tasks and design projects for water treatment facilities, pump stations, process design, water quality and chemical feed systems, water storage facilities, hydraulic evaluation and design, developing design reports, and construction documents and specifications, as well as construction oversight and administration.
Will be responsible for maintaining current and building new relationships with clients, leading and supporting key pursuits and functioning as a lead engineer or project manager on major projects across Pennsylvania. Will support and facilitate new project pursuits for water and wastewater services.

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
6 years of experience in water treatment facilities, process and infrastructure planning and design
Experience as a Project Manager on water facilities engineering projects.
Professional Engineering License in the state of Pennsylvania or the ability to acquire such license through reciprocity within six months of employment.
Water facilities operations experience
Proven client relationship and management skills, at all client levels (staff to executive)
Candidates must be knowledgeable of Pennsylvania water issues and trends and possess a proven track record in delivering engineering services for large-scale water projects
Experience with client management: defining the problems, defining short term and long term objectives, identifying site/physical/regulatory/flow/environmental/stakeholder constraints and obstacles, and communicating these conditions to the client effectively.
Business development experience preferred.
