AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Staff Engineer to be based in Portland, OR/ Seattle, WA.
This position is expected to begin in May 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Oversee subsurface investigations including drilling exploration boreholes and advancing CPTs at various sites throughout Pacific Northwest
Review and assign geotechnical samples for laboratory testing
Inspect construction activities to monitor progress and assess conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction standards
Perform geotechnical analyses including slope stability, seepage, settlement, earth retention, liquefaction, and shallow and deep foundations
Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations
Review regulations and standards necessary to conduct technical studies and carry out project design and permitting work
Prepare and/or peer review designs, specifications, and construction documents
Assemble and document geotechnical data using software that includes: Excel, Word, gINT, AutoCAD
Apply QA/QC requirements to their own work and work of the project team
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Valid Drivers license required
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical focus with two (2) years of experience.
Experience using software that includes: Excel Word, gINT, AutoCAD and Microstation.
