Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Raleigh, NC, or Charlotte, NC.

This position is expected to begin in March 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing Traffic crash analyses

  • Creating GIS maps

  • Data analysis

  • Drawing traffic collision diagrams

  • Analyzing crash patterns

  • Making safety improvement recommendations

  • Report writing

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Planning, or Technical related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working on traffic safety projects or related fields.

  • Familiar with MicroStation/AutoCAD, Microsoft Office

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • NCDOT or other DOT experience required.

  • Understanding of NCDOT (or other DOT) guidelines/procedures/policies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

  • EIT or ability to obtain.

  • Familiar with NCDOT Traffic Engineering Accident Analysis System (TEAAS)

  • TEAAS Training Certification

  • Familiar with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Highway Safety Manual (HSM)

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills required for client and team interaction.

  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm to learn new skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality of work

  • Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role.
