Job Description
AECOM is seeking for an experienced Compliance Specialist for employment for full-time on-site support at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Fully qualified scientist. Utilizes scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Requires general familiarity within a broad field of scientific knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Solves problems by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Participates in planning required to achieve prescribed objectives.
Conducts analysis and investigation work obtained from a variety of sources.
Participates in developing corrective measures and procedures. Formulates hypothesis, performs research and makes recommendation.
The candidate shall be expected to perform on-site installation support tasks to help maintain compliance with the facilities’ Title V Air Operating permits and verify that emissions do not exceed air quality standards.
The candidate will be required to assist installation Air Quality Program Managers with the collection of monthly recordkeeping, update quality assurance checklists, emission limit monitoring, and demonstrate compliance with Title V permit conditions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite for which you are being hired to perform services, you will be required to pass the client's background, medical and drug screening requirements, which will be done after you have commenced employment and is a condition of your continued employment.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, will be required to drive to various site locations throughout Military base to do site inspections.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain and variable outdoor conditions.
Frequently (more than 50% of workday) performing keyboard/mouse operations. Often (25-50% of the workday) standing/walking, and operating vehicles. Occasionally (10-25% of the workday) climbing stairs. Rarely (less than 10% of the workday) lifting less than 50 pounds.
This position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety shoes/boots and hard hat.
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in Army experience in air quality management, air emissions inventories, operating permit compliance, New Source Performance Standards and National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants compliance, New Source Review permitting, regulatory reporting, permit renewals, major source determination, refrigerant management, and air impact assessment under General Conformity and National Environmental Policy Act.
Federal experience in air quality management, air emissions inventories, operating permit compliance, New Source Performance Standards and National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants compliance, New Source Review permitting, regulatory reporting, permit renewals, major source determination, refrigerant management, and air impact assessment under General Conformity and National Environmental Policy Act.
The candidate shall have knowledge and experience with Federal air quality environmental data management requirements, processes, and systems, to include, but not be limited to The Air Program Information Management System (APIMS) and the Air Conformity Applicability Model (ACAM).

Relocation Benefits are not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $60,000.00 - $72,000.00.
