AECOM Mid-level Roadway Engineer in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented, experienced and motivated Mid-level Roadway Engineer for immediate employment in our Raleigh, NC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Project management of highway design projects

  • Intersection and interchange design

  • Plans preparation

  • Supervision of roadway entry-level engineers and designers

  • Tracks and manages task and project budgets and schedules

  • Demonstrates leadership skills and communication skills

  • Develops client relationships and provide professional engineer guidance and advise as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Civil engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in highway design

  • NC PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 6 months required

  • North Carolina NCDOT experience required

  • Areas of experience include: project management, roadway design, intersection and interchange design, plan preparation, supervising roadway designers and entry-level enginers, thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Word, MicroStation, Geopak, Corridor Modeler and other design software

  • Thorough understanding of NCDOT guidelines/procedures/plan preparation

  • Experience with local municipalities, DOT's and approving agencies

  • Ability to scope/estimate complex roadway projects

  • Track and manage task budgets and schedules

  • Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction

  • Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role

  • MicroStation/Geopak/AutoCAD experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Ability manage projects-cost, budgets, schedule, quality control and deliverables are preferred
