AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager/Safety to be based in Richmond, VA.
The Safety/Construction Manager will typically work on multiple projects simultaneously and must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, balancing competing priorities and multiple project assignments. Strong organizational capability is a must, ensuring reliable, repeatable systems/work processes are developed and implemented and that individuals within the construction function develop the necessary skills to deliver the required results. Experience in a high-volume food production facility a plus.

The basic responsibilities of the Safety CM are as follows:
Jobsite health and safety
Coordinate field activities
Coordinate intersection of contractor and bakery workstreams
Interface between contractors and MDLZ Quality and Sanitation teams
Quality of installation. Productivity
Effective coordination of field activities all contractors within an active 24/7 food production environment
Maintain awareness and provide guidance towards hygienic and sanitary design requirements all as it applies to the project scope
The Safety/CM ensures the completion of all construction activities in a safe and professional manner without disruption to plant production
The Safety/CM is a professional agent of the owner.
Roles and responsibilities of the Safety/CM begin during the pre-construction phase, continue throughout the construction phase, and conclude with completion of punch list items and project closeout. The degree of involvement in each of these phases is contingent upon the complexity of the project as well as the degree to which the owner wishes the Safety/CM to participate.
- BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
