Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Technician II for immediate employment in the Roanoke, VA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The Construction Technician II responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Architects, Engineers and Project Managers

  • Preparation and the submission of project specifications during design phase

  • Processing of specifications utilizing SpecsIntact, MasterSpec or other Owner furnished documents

  • Provides administrative support pertaining to construction projects (i.e. data entry logging, office administration of documentation) Document control, RFI coordination, data collection, maintenance of project records

  • Maintains current records of contractor progress payments, contract drawings, and other documents

  • Uses Word, Excel, Outlook, and other programs to accomplish work

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills coupled with ability and aspiration to advance new software capabilities

  • Previous work experience in AE industry preferred

  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
