AECOM Environmental Engineer, Contaminant Investigation and Remediation in Rocky Hill, Connecticut

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environment Engineer or related discipline (Civil, Chemical, etc.) for immediate employment in the Rocky Hill, CT office. The great variety of remediation and environmental assessment projects available at AECOM will give the candidate multiple opportunities to gain experience on projects that can lead to a rewarding and diverse career. The candidate will be working with and in support of Project Managers and task order leaders.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical report preparation, project management support and work towards project manager role.

  • Oversee environmental investigations and remediation evaluations and design for contaminated properties

  • Work both in the office (70%) and in field (30%) on projects as needed to include a wide variety of remediation and construction sites

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related fields

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in contaminant investigations, remediation, hydrogeology, and /or environmental sampling.

  • Strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to write technical reports and proposals, and develop project cost budgets

  • Experience with groundwater sampling, soil sampling, and drilling

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pilot testing and/or working on remediation systems

  • Experience leading field teams and training junior staff

  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks/projects at a time
