Job Description
AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for water, wastewater conveyance, treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.
Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff.
Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
Deliver revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business.
Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts.
Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6+ years of related experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems.
Registered Professional Engineer
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management.
Registered Professional Engineer in CT or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Previous experience leading business development activities.
Previous water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client relations experience.
Additional Information
This position requires travel within CT and nearby states.
Relocation is available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00.
