AECOM Civil/ Water Resources Intern in Salt Lake City, Utah

AECOM Salt Lake City is looking for a Civil / Water Resources Intern for their water group.
This position is expected to begin in April 2021..
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with a team of Project managers, Water Resources Engineers and GIS specialists in support of FEMA floodplain modeling and mapping studies, transportation drainage design, and other several water resources projects.
Performs Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analyses to comply with FEMA guidelines and specifications.
Perform one dimensional and two-dimensional floodplain modeling using software applications like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SRH2D.
Efficiently work with ArcGIS software in support of floodplain modeling and mapping.
Prepare project reports including engineering calculations, research, planning and technical engineering reports.
Assist in field investigations in collecting data to perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Civil Engineering University Degree Student – years of study 3 or 4.
Basic knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and ARC GIS.
A strong preference for students following a Water Resources program
Good communication skills
Good work ethic
Willingness to work in a team environment
Hydraulic and hydrology fundamentals
