AECOM Client Account Manager – Senior Project Manager, Water/Wastewater in San Diego, California

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Client Account Manager in our Southern California Water and Wastewater Practice. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the further growth of AECOM’s successful water and wastewater practice and projects with established clients as well as develop new relationships. Will participate in strategic business development planning, the development of specific project pursuits/proposals and on-going project management of existing project/clients. Serving as AECOM’s primary point of contact with clients, will be responsible for:
Partnering with Regional Business Line and Market Sector Leaders in the development of Client Account and Opportunity Capture Plans to establish long-term client relationships.
Managing proposal development in compliance with AECOM policies.
Identifying upcoming water and wastewater pursuits in the California/Southwest municipal water/wastewater market.
Participating in both regional and national development of regional/sub-regional business development plans.
Serving as Project Manager on specific projects and clients.
Participating in the development of Project Execution Planning, Costing and Staff Allocations of Resources.
Attending conferences and workshops to strengthen existing and establish new client relationships and increasing knowledge of emerging technologies and market drivers.
Maintaining a high local and regional profile.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or related Engineering discipline.
15+ years experience in water, wastewater or conveyance planning, design and construction with at least 7 of those years in client account management and business development.
Active California professional engineer license.
Proven track record in client account management, relationship development, brand elevation, project pursuit execution and engineering/technical sales.
Experience in the full spectrum of client service including positioning activities, proposal development and delivery of project designs.
Proven knowledge in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, planning studies, condition assessments and rehabilitation and repair projects.
Exceptional technical skills and experience delivering water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
Desire to serve and lead in a deliberate, focused and dynamic team environment.
Excellent relationships and proven work experience with municipal and commercial clients in California and the West.
Strong skills in Project Management and Contract Administration.
Relevant certifications such as Envision, Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE), Project Management Professional (PMP).
