Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly qualified Construction Manager for immediate placement in San Diego, CA. This critical role demands a professional with extensive experience and a commitment to excellence in project management and oversight.
The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Execute work requiring advanced independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Serve as the primary project lead in the field, overseeing and directing the construction management staff with authority and precision.
Assume full responsibility for the supervision of field staff while providing crucial support to office personnel.
Demonstrate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of project documentation standards and exhibit exceptional coordination skills to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 6 years or more of relatable or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
California PE License.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience.
Experience working in Caltrans or Railroad ROW.
Highway widening experience, Structures experience, Tolling Experience, and/or Railroad experience
Technical Writing skills.
Experience on public works transportation projects with construction value $20M+.
Excellent Communication Skills.
Experience as Resident Engineer and as Office Engineer.
Strong understanding of industry standard processes for submittals, RFI’s, change orders, and pay applications.
Experience writing and processing change orders.
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $95,656.00 - $176,964.00.
