Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Construction Quality Manager – Water Infrastructure to be located in San Diego, California.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Under general direction, technically manages quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.

Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.

Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.

Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity.

Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.

Reviews project process and evaluates results.

Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.

Conducts investigations and tests that are of considerable complexity.

Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS degree plus 8 years of relevant experience OR AA/AS degree plus 10 years of relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

10 years of experience in construction related QA/QC

Clear, demonstrated experience in the development of policies and procedures

Background in compliance and reporting

  • Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $103,000 - $191,000.
